The presentation will introduce the Symbolic Content of PPAT drawings rating system (Bat Or, Ishai, & Levi, 2017) and the narrative aspects scales (Bat Or & Ishai, 2017), their clinical rationale, and research findings. The main factors of the drawings will be presented: Person Agency, Tree’s Potency, and Tree’s Accessibility. Associations between the three factors with attachment security will be discussed. In addition, the innovative score of reciprocity between the drawn objects will be presented, and its associations to attachment styles among the PPAT of adults. In relation to children’s PPAT, we will discuss the verbal versus the visual contents of the drawings, pinpointing possible meaningful gaps between the communication mediums. The authors warmly invite researchers and clinicians to use our tools, and in closing discussion explore suggestions for clinical implications and future research.
