The study examined how narrative-accounts are expressed in group art therapy of adolescents with early childhood history of abuse, how narratives help them to disclose and cope with it and to what extent these traumatic incidents are significant in their memory. The sample comprised of 15 (9 girls and 6 boys) adolescents, with an age range between 12 to 16 years, who participated in 10 days long group art therapy session. The present study focuses only on analyzing narrative accounts of drawings following descriptive-phenomenological perspectives. The result showed three major themes: the first is adolescents’ lingering between two extremes of the continuum of ‘being overwhelmed with traumatic memories’ to ‘their striving to live with positive memories’; the second theme gives conditions of disclosing abusive instances; the third theme comprised of the significance of ‘time’ as a healer and ‘time’ as an entrapment until the victim adapts appropriate coping strategy.
